Prion Diseases May Take 50 Yrs. Before Symptoms Appear
(Source: The Record) - Researchers report that infected prions which cause diseases such as Bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) in animals and the human variant of Creutzfeld-Jacob disease (vCJD) may take as long as 50 years to incubate and develop into their respective disease.
